Why do we fall into the temptation of buying sleeping pills?
When lack of sleep and insomnia begin to affect our ability to normally carry out daily tasks or responsibilities, that is when we start thinking about alternative methods to solve this sleep deficiency.
All types of insomnia lead to daytime sleepiness, poor concentration, fatigue, and consequently frustration due to the inability to feel refreshed and rested.

The use of medications to treat insomnia can be helpful in certain situations, but there are potential risks. Antihistamines such as dormidina can lead to dependence, tolerance, and over time may affect memory.
Sedatives should be used under close medical supervision because they can also cause tolerance or dependence. Discontinuation of these medications can cause rebound insomnia and withdrawal syndrome.

Antihistamines like dormidina can cause the following side effects:
Frequently sleepiness, dry mouth, constipation, blurred vision, difficulty urinating, increased bronchial mucus, dizziness.
Infrequently skin rash, low blood pressure, swelling of arms and legs, tiredness, double vision, ringing in the ears, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea.
Rarely anemia, low platelet count, low white blood cells, tremors, seizures, excitement especially in children and the elderly.
Benzodiazepines are psychotropic drugs that act on the central nervous system.
They are used in medicine for the treatment of anxiety, insomnia, and other affective states, as well as epilepsy, alcohol withdrawal, and muscle spasms.
Although these pills are effective, there are dangers associated with taking them very often. The dreaded rebound effect or dependence can cause greater frustration in the future due to inability to sleep, and the body gets used to these substances and they no longer have the same effect as the first day.
Less radical procedures or techniques include medicinal plants with sedative and relaxing properties, such as passionflower, lemon balm, linden, lacanda, valerian... in pill, infusion, lozenge formats... gentler methods that do not cause side effects.
