TENCEL a SUPER fabric…

¡TENCEL is a fiber of 100% natural origin considered a Super fabric! Soft as silk, strong as polyester, refreshing as linen, thermoregulating as wool, and more absorbent than cotton, below we present the main technical characteristics, properties, and curiosities of this very interesting fabric.

The Tencel fabric is a fiber obtained from the pulp of trees such as eucalyptus, pine, fir... To obtain the fiber, the wood pulp is treated with a non-toxic organic solvent (amine oxide), thus dissolving the cellulose and achieving a very viscous solution. The solvent used is continuously recycled, so it could be called an ecological fiber.

Being a cellulosic fiber, it absorbs moisture and is totally biodegradable. It is very resistant both dry and wet. It has a low shrinkage rate. The result is a very soft, strong, elastic, antibacterial, anti-mite, absorbent, thermoregulating fabric, and above all respectful to the skin.
